808 Street Grindz Food Truck - Kihei, Maui

AngryRussian and I knew that Maui has a great food truck scene so when we saw 808 Street Grindz during our visit to Maui Brewing Company we knew what we were having for dinner that night.

808 Street Grindz Menu

It was around 4pm when we arrived and a lot of items are already sold out =/ so there wasn’t much selection…we couldn’t even get fries!

808 Street Grindz Food Truck - Island Chicken Tacos

So I decided between what’s left.  I got an order of the Island Chicken Tacos ($5 USD).

I was glad that there’s a good amount of chicken in the taco and they were pretty stuffed.  The chicken wasn’t dry at all, and the mango and papaya relish was so yummy and very ‘island‘!

808 Street Grindz Food Truck - Pulled Pork on Brioche Bun

Next I also got us the Pulled Pork on Brioche Bun sandwich ($8 USD).  I will say that I didn’t think it was on a brioche bun…it was a regular burger bun.  However the pork was very yummy even though I’m not a fan of BBQ sauce.  I also loved the amount of pulled pork in the sandwich.  It was messy alright but a delicious messy.

It was another yummy food truck experience all in all and if I saw it again I think we’ll definitely try their ‘fry’s‘ (sic)!  I would love to try the Pele Fry’s!
