I was extended an invitation by the Socialettes (a local all-women’s PR company) to attend the first ever Xpocity Vancouver event, held at the swanky Four Seasons Ballroom Vancouver.
Xpocity Vancouver was described as a “social shopping” experience that combines a ladies evening out with product sampling and shopping. Sounds like a superb girls night out to me! I quickly enlisted Miz Brown Sugar to accompany me for some fun.
It was an all-out soiree. Ladies were dressed up to the nines and there were photographers, photo booths, just fun all-around. Vendors ranging from fashion to food, event coordinators, spas and makeup were on-site for the ultimate in ladies’ pampering!
Some vendors offered mini manicures, some offered make-up and eyelash touch-ups. We got a short but relaxing hand massage at the Moroccan Oil/Eccotique stall. We even got a hairstyle change with Moroccan oil products…I got my straight hair curled and Ms. Brown Sugar got her curly hair straightened!
There was also wine to be sampled, and food and sweets to be nibbled on…I will say that I had quite a few yummy macarons from Bon Macaron Patisserie that night. The owners are both from France!!! That’s why when we approached, he asked if we’ve had real macarons before =)
Ms. Brown Sugar and I had lots of fun at Xpocity Vancouver this year. It was a very well-organized event and everyone was obviously in good spirits. There was a decent amount of stuff to see but I didn’t feel there was enough to spend a lot of time there. However this WAS the first event ever so I think it’ll only go up from here. I hope they’ll continue to grow and expand to become THE event for ladies every year!
