On the same visit to Wildside Grill while AngryRussian was waiting for our food, I ventured into Chocolate Tofino next door to have a look-see.
As it was still quite early and I was still groggy from taking a gravol for the drive, I didn’t have the appetite for their fresh homemade gelato or chocolate treats. However as it was rainy and a little chilly I had every intention of grabbing a hot chocolate to warm up and get a caffeine boost! As luck would have it, Chocolate Tofino is serving up their Chocolate Elixir 2 for $7!
You don’t get to choose your type of chocolate but it was fine as the elixir was mighty chocolatey. It was thick and rich, akin to a drinking chocolate rather than merely a hot chocolate. It was a tad sweet though, and I would’ve liked a bit of milk to tone down the sweetness. AngryRussian thinks it would make a great base for a mocha, which is probably something we could’ve done if we had thought of it sooner and saved a bit of it.
Now that I’m home I regret not getting a few of their chocolate treats to try. I was quite interested in their Blonde Bar (a caramelized white chocolate bar) and their Lavender and Earl Grey truffles, and Wild Blackberry Buttercream…maybe next time…
