5 Awesome Food Experience Gift Ideas

Can you believe the holidays are almost here?!  If you’re still looking for some last minute gift ideas, you’ve come to the right place!

This year AngryRussian and I wanted to do more experience gifts rather than material gifts, so what’s better than to look at some food-related experiences?!

Now these are in no particular order.  Instead, I’m listing them in order of what’s actually available for sale now.  I think if a particular event is not available for sale yet, maybe…give an IOU?

1. Seattle Wine & Food Experience

Seattle Food and Wine Experience in Seattle

Now I can’t not mention this event.  I have personally attend all three experiences over a February weekend this year and loved it.  Each experience has a different theme and it goes from casual comfort to glitzy glamorous!   It was also awesome the fact that it’s in Seattle so it’s really an out of town experience, so you can make it into a mini vacation too!

If you haven’t already, you can read about all three experiences in the links below:

The Seattle Wine and Food Experience takes place in February every year so tickets are on sale now on their website.  Use my promo code “Eatnabout20” for 20% off!

2. Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival

Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival

For the craft beer lovers on your list, you can’t go wrong with the Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival for one reason – NO TOKENS!  This means it’s an all you can drink experience where you don’t have to purchase additional tokens on top of your ticket price!  This is the reason why this is AngryRussian’s favorite craft beer event.

The Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival tends to occur in a Matinee and Evening session on a Saturday, once in the Spring time and once in the Fall/Winter, which means the Spring session’s tickets are available for purchase now!  However it seems that they’ve removed the food/restaurant component of the event moving forward to concentrate on offering the best that the craft beer community has to offer!

We’ve written about the event twice so see below to read all about it!

3. Vancouver Craft Beer Week

Another beer event that we’ve been to that was loads of fun was the Vancouver Craft Beer Week Main Event.  This event was previously held at the PNE but new for 2020 it’ll be at the Concord Community Park in False Creek.  Also new for 2020 is that they’ve done away with the tokens!  This makes it all that better!  Again I’ve covered the event previously so see below to see what the events are like!

4. Beanstock Coffee Festival

Beanstock Coffee Festival

For the coffee lover on your list, you can’t go wrong with the Beanstock Coffee Festival.  I had the opportunity to attend this year’s event in Vancouver held at Performance Works in Granville Island.

This was a great event as we got to try all the different micro-roasters in and around Vancouver (and one from Montreal!) and learn about the different brewing methods, how farm-to-roaster makes a difference, and the difference in taste depending on where the beans come from!

5. Food Prep Service Subscription

Fresh Prep Meal Prep service

Last but not least, a Food Prep subscription!  This would be a fantastic idea especially for those on your list that love to cook but don’t always have the inspiration or time to do it!  A food prep subscription would be perfect as they usually have interesting and unique recipes they wouldn’t otherwise have thought of or tried!

For AngryRussian and I, we had the opportunity to try out FreshPrep* and we loved the food!  One of the meals we picked was a Cheesy Shrimp and Grits.  It was easy to make and so delicious!  And it was something we never would’ve thought of to make!  (*Click on our link above to get 3 free meals!)  Click link below to read our review!

So there you go folks!  My top 5 Food Experience gift ideas that I think are awesome!  Let me know if you decide to gift any of them!

Disclaimer: I received complimentary entry to the events mentioned and a free trial from FreshPrep, but all opinions are my own.
