AngryRussian and I decided to only have dinner during Happy Hour as we love appies anyways and eating early gives us more time to digest!
Within walking distance to where we were staying was Canoe Brew Pub right by the water and they had a Happy Hour 7 days a week!
Their Happy Hour menu was not huge by any means but there were enough items for us to choose from that we took a chance!
The Pork Belly Sliders ($12) were on their Happy Hour menu. The pork belly was cider & brown sugar brined, with a jicama slaw and smeared with beer mustard.
Here’s a cross-sectioned look! The pork belly was generously cut and was pretty juicy!
The third dish we shared was off the Happy Hour menu- Flash Fried Humboldt Squid ($15) with black pepper, greens, fresh herbs, pickled jalapeño, lime aioli.
We’ve always preferred meaty calamari chunks/steaks to the tubes so we were pretty happy with these ones from Canoe. The coating was light and crispy and the squid was tender and flavorful.
All in all a great meal at Canoe and it was a beautiful location. Would come back!
