Boyfriend had always wanted to try Jack In The Box. He had a chance this time.
They had a variety of special milkshakes during this time. If I remember correctly, there was Eggnog and Pumpkin Pie. I chose to get the Pumpkin Pie milkshake to try.
It was VERY thick, like most fast food shakes. There was also a noticeable pumpkin pie flavor, very clove-y and cinnamon-y, so it was really good. I was half expecting the shake to taste nothing like it’s flavor. However it was very sweet, and I had to take breaks between sips.
I had the famous Sourdough Jack sandwich. I remember Burger King used to have something like this, and I really liked it.
The sourdough part was grilled to greasy yummy perfection…they must’ve used a whole lotta butter/oil on the grill. It was crispy and buttery and niceeeeeeeeeee….
Boyfriend ordered the massively artery-clogging Sirloin Cheeseburger. It was made really nicely, and they wrapped it like how “gourmet” burger restaurants (such as Red Robin haha) wraps their burgers. Again, like the sirloin burger from A&W, it was very beefy. We liked the type of bun they used here though, more like a kaiser bun than your regular burger bun.
Now, as if that wasn’t artery-clogging enough, we ordered ourselves a small portion of their Cheesy Macaroni Bites. A small order comes with 3 pieces.
It was really cheesy and yummy. It was cute as it had actual macaroni pieces in it, so I guess this restaurant DOES give you what they advertise.
It was a great eating experience here and the next time we’re back in the states we’ll definitely try to visit a JitB again.
Whenever I’m in the states, J & B is always a must stop. I always want to try their latest shake flavours as they’re better than any fast food joint in Canada, and even though I know the sourdough burger is fat laden, I can’t resist.
The macaroni bites sound interesting. I’ve never noticed those on the menu. Must try next time I’m down there.
