Big Orange
I’m glad there’s a Big Orange Juice Bar in Richmond Centre. It’s close enough that I don’t have to travel into Alexandra Road area to get it. They’re no Bubble World, but they satisfy the craving once in a while.

Update: This restaurant is now closed. It seems like I’m on a HK-Style Milk Tea binge lately. I crave for it every meal ever since Alleluia. Our restaurant choice this time was Bauhinia Restaurant. It used to be on Saba Road but now it’s located in a little strip mall along Granville Ave. and St. […]
So it’s the season for the Night Market again~ Boyfriend and I went on a Sunday night and just had our “dinner” there. Not sure if it’s because of the ‘recession’, but there were a lot less vendors. There were quite a bit of empty tents, so in total there was only about 1.5 to […]
Welcome to yet another review of Richmond’s rich resource in HK style cafes. Today, we present to you Alleluia. It is located on Westminster Hwy., a bit east of No. 3 Rd. The parking situation was alright when we were there (about 7:30 PM) but I know without uncertainty that during lunch times it is […]
Update: This restaurant has closed. Dinner with Fannypack again! Driving past Central Square I spotted a new restaurant right beside Excellent Tofu. It’s called Cafe de Waraku and it appears to be a Japanese Style Spaghetti House. However, having done some research on it, it so happens to be started in Singapore. So Japanese style […]
Update: This restaurant is now closed. The name might sound all fancy but it’s really just the ‘anglicized’ version of Eating Room. The restaurant is quite clean upon our entrance. The lighting was good, floor seemed to be in clean and in good condition and the tables and chairs were placed in a tidy manner. […]
Update Sep 13, 2010: This restaurant is now closed. In the sea of Asian restaurants in Richmond, it may be difficult to find one to return to on a regular basis. My mom and her friends love to try every HK style cafe in the city as they pop up one by one. The best […]
After our dinner at Toratatsu, it was still early out so we didn’t want to waste our trip to Downtown and took a walk down Robson. By the time the shops were closing, we were ready for dessert again, so I took them to Chicco. I was introduced to this place many years ago by […]
Update: This restaurant is now closed. The bunch of us congregated in Downtown again to attend M’s convocation at the new Vancouver Convention Centre. Afterwards, we had to decide where to go for dinner and I suggested Toratatsu since we all like Izakayas. As usual we’re all supposed to pick something. We ordered a bunch […]
It was lunch with Mom again. This week we did it on a Sunday. At first I was obviously skeptical about venturing to the “Golden Village” during the weekends, but since our destination is a little bit away from the “Bermuda Triangle” of Aberdeen, Parker Place, and Yaohan, I thought we’ll be safe. Sushi House […]
I like eating new things, I like taking pictures, so now I have a bunch of pictures. What to do? Blog about them!
