AngryRussian and I decided to take a trip down to Fort Langley to check out a wedding venue. In order to make it more enticing to him to make the trip to Langley, I told him we could go to Trading Post Brewing Taphouse & Eatery afterwards, and that’s exactly where we went!
The Eatery is actually located in Fort Langley (and I guess Riverdale is filmed there! We happened across some scene they were shooting with a bunch of extras!), right in the heart of downtown. We got there just in time for Happy Hour.
Beer in any size was $5. I got a yummy Blackberry Ale while AngryRussian got another…..IPA…..
Pretzel & Dip was $4.5 during HH. It’s a spent grain pretzel with housemade beer mustard and garlic aioli.
The pretzel was a little bready but we devoured it. The beer mustard did taste like normal mustard, but the garlic aioli was yummy.
But the star of the show was their Poutine ($10 during HH). The fries were crispy, the curds were squeaky, and that house gravy is one of the yummiest gravy I’ve ever had, and loved the pork crackling topping! And they give you SO. MUCH. GRAVY! This was delicious!
Trading Post Eatery is a great hangout if you’re ever in the area, and downtown Fort Langley is super cute!!
